After applying your skincare oil, stroke the gua sha firmly outwards from the centre of the face. Depending on the area you are working on, or the effect you are looking for you can choose the side of the gua sha that is best suited. To optimise the firming and decongesting effects of the massage, keep the gua sha somewhere cool before using. To 'recharge', leave the gua sha in a bowl of water for a couple of hours or place it near to the smoke of a Palo Santo stick.
