How to make a moisturising face mask at home?

Whether your skin is in crisis, in need of hydration or just wants to glow, turn to a face mask is always a good idea! To be applied once or twice a week, a face mask should be part of your beauty routine for an instant "beautiful skin" effect and a perfect cocooning moment. At Oh My Cream, we obviously like to tell you about our favourite products, but it is also important for us to accompany you in your desires and convictions. So if homemade is your thing, here's a little guide to making a delicious homemade face mask. But if you lack the motivation, you should know that we obviously offer face masks with almost homemade formulas :)

Face mask: a gesture not to be neglected in your beauty routine

Purifying, soothing, firming, radiance masks... It's easy to get lost when faced with a multitude of choices. In fact, there are as many masks as there are problems and skin types. And to top it all off, when you feel your skin is in crisis, you have the impression that you need almost all of them to target your little skin problems one by one...

What if we went back to basics? Because the secret of beautiful skin is above all good hydration ! So, in addition to a complete routine adapted to your skin type, opt for the moisturising face mask. This is a basic product that you should always have on hand and apply once or twice a week. Don't have one? Don't worry, we've put together a guide to homemade face masks, so you can make your own with the ingredients you have on hand ;-)

Homemade face mask: the ingredients to rely on

The advantages of the homemade face mask

One of the advantages of the homemade face maskOne of the advantages of a homemade face mask is obviously that you know perfectly well the formula of the treatment you are about to apply to your skin. But be careful: just because an ingredient is natural does not mean it is safe: very sensitive skin, for example, should avoid powerful natural exfoliants such as lemon or certain essential oils.

Another obvious advantage of the homemade face maskis the small savings you make. But here again, be careful: we advise against making your own mask in large quantities for several uses. Without preservatives, the formula can quickly turn sour.
