Which cleanser is best for cleansing your face?

At Oh My Cream we swear by the double cleansing method. It consists of cleansing your face in two stages: you start by removing your make-up with a cleansing oil, for example, and then you continue with a cleansing gel, a cleansing cream or a cleansing foam, depending on your preferences and your skin type (dry skin, normal skin, combination skin or oily skin). In the end, the best face cleanser is the one adapted to your skin type and skin problems! This second step is essential for perfecting make-up removal and ridding the skin of impurities that have accumulated during the day: pollution particles, make-up residue, excess sebum.

What is the mistake not to make when you want to take care of your skin?

Be careful not to fall into the very common trap of over-cleaning your skin by using products that are too aggressive. The key to optimal facial cleansing? Use gentle, skin-friendly facial cleansers. If you wish, you can also use a facial cleansing brush to deeply unclog pores, but this is not essential and should be avoided if you have sensitive skin. There are some very good facial cleansing gels that clean the skin perfectly and unclog pores.

Which facial cleanser for sensitive skin?

If you have sensitive skin, it is even better to use a gentle face wash. Sensitive skin needs to be treated gently and therefore needs gentle, soothing products. There are also anti-redness face washes, ideal for soothing sensitive skin that heats up easily. Oatmeal, for example, is a very interesting ingredient for sensitive skin as it has soothing properties.

Which facial cleanser for dry skin?

If you have dry skin that tends to be tight after cleansing, look for moisturising facial cleansers. For example, choose a sulphate-free facial cleansing gel or, better still, a very gentle and comforting facial cleansing milk. Some cleansers are also real anti-ageing treatments, which is not negligible!

Which facial cleanser for oily skin?

On the other hand, if you have oily, combination or blemished skin, you will probably prefer to use a purifying cleanser such as a purifying foaming gel. Be careful, however, to use a cleanser that is both cleansing and gentle. Or, you can alternate between a purifying and a moisturising face wash to avoid stripping your skin if you feel discomfort. The key is to preserve your skin's hydrolipidic film, which guarantees healthy skin! Interesting ingredients for cleansing oily skin? Zinc, for its purifying properties (very interesting for fighting blemishes), salicylic acid, which gently exfoliates the skin, has an anti-spot action and tightens the pores, and honey, which is both purifying and nourishing.
