Beauty Talk with Lindsay Azpitarte, founder of Ulé
Newest addition to our beauty shelves, Ulé has conquered our bathroom and vanity with its view of in & out beauty, and its nature-tech treatments using active ingredients cultivated in the brand’s own vertical farm. We met with Lindsay Azpitarte, founder of Ulé, to talk about the eco-conscious brand.
Hello Lindsay, what do you do for a living?
I’m Lindsay, I’m French American, and I’ve created the skincare brand Ulé. The idea behind the brand came to me a little over 3 years ago. I wanted to create a brand that matched my beliefs and values, and that could resonate with others’ interests, around eco-conscious. I wanted to have a sustainable brand, without, of course, leaving behind aspects that are important to us, such as natural formulas, sensory aspects and scientifically proven efficiency.
“Ulé in 3 words… I would use eco-consciousness, sensorial and efficiency.”
What are the essential steps to your skincare routine?
At night, the skin 'works' to eliminate toxins, so in the morning, I cleanse my skin. Then, I apply Le Beau Reset to refresh, hydrate, and regulate the pH of my skin before applying my serum. I always finish with a cream, which will keep the skin barrier in good shape and allow it to protect the skin from external aggressors and retain the good stuff (the active ingredients) in the skin. I always do a quick massage at each step of the skincare routine. It's done in 2 minutes, tops. In the evening, after my double cleanse, I apply a serum based on what my skin needs (nourishment, a boost). In case of particular dryness, I apply Avoir it All for instant radiance and a refreshed face."
Any beauty tips for global wellbeing?
Exercise, sleep, a balanced diet, and drinking plenty of water (really plenty). But also, have fun, see your friends, party. It's good for the mind."
