Bathroom Talk with Laura Vidrequin Roso
Free-spirited, intuitive and a born dreamer, Laura Vidrequin Roso is one of those radiant women with a modern take on self-care. Minimalist in the way she looks after herself, she embraces a deeply personal vision of beauty, one shaped by time, experience, and the cities that have made her. A perspective far from clichés and societal pressures. Meet the passionate brand Consultant and stylist redefining beauty on her own terms.
"I am a terrible cook, so we like to host with take-away, mostly due to the fact that I have no relationship in either shape or form with time, so it's often not ready at all, or cold. After being a buyer for big corporate companies, I took the entrepreneurship journey, building a resale platform dedicated to kids' clothes and toys. I am working as a stylist and fashion consultant for brands I believe in. I am very grateful to be able to navigate my weeks between the kids and work, juggling between professional deadlines and travel, as well as the kids’ busy schedule.”
How do you define beauty and self-care today?
"I am a very visual person; if you tell me beauty, I think smiling with one’s entire body, I also see peace in someone’s eyes or look. Wellness is very close to inner peace, individuality, perception and of course, self-love. I also firmly believe that self-care recipes are very personal and individual. Tolerance to accept that we might not need, want or do the same thing as others is extremely important to stop comparing."
What are your beauty must-haves?
Patyka for the Brightening Micro Peeling Essence, I really love it. I am also a very good dry brusher. I don't brush my hair, but comb it when I wash it. I love baths with Epsom salt in it. I massage my face all the time with oils and serums, but was told by the dermatologist I should rely on day cream more, so I am adding Avene now every day. I love washing my face with a foaming cleansing on and off from Dior or the Patyka Detox Cleansing Foam, which I got at Oh My Cream."
Has your skincare and self‑care routine evolved since becoming a mom?
"Honestly, no. It has evolved with time and age. I am much more cautious about what I do now that I am 35. Being a parent has had no impact on my beauty routine, except that I am quicker, more efficient, and better at it. But in my constant acceptance that I am so “throw on and go”. "
What has motherhood taught you about confidence, slowing down or redefining self‑care?
"Tolerance, not reacting, and taking time are key factors I never took into consideration before I had kids, or not as heavily. Self-care is fundamental to being able to care for them (the kids) too."
What is the daily habit that has made a difference in how you feel?
"Check with your doctor before following this, because there are a lot of different types of supplements. Magnesium is helping a lot with overall physical feel, a warm drink that is not coffee or tea in the morning, first thing."
What quick ritual or product turns your bathroom break into a mini‑retreat?
"Dry brush my body, while having an eye and lip mask on, then roll on my face with some oil, spray my hair with Sisley oil, comb it, brush my eyebrows and trip it."
If you could give your younger self one piece of beauty or self‑care advice, what would it be and why?
"The earlier you prevent, the later you will fix. Go to the dermatologist, and the doctors’ regularly, hydrate skin and body, and more importantly, don't stress about any of it. Try to step back and look at the big picture. What would the 80-year-old you say if she were seeing you right now? Laugh about it, and let it go if it brings anxiety. Breath through it. Remember, as well, you may have lots of worries, but when there is a health concern, there is just that one big worry. So take care of yourself and your loved ones."
