All you need to know about LEDs for the face

And this beauty-tech accessory is more popular than ever! LED masks use the photobiomodulation process based on light therapy technology.

This involves sending light energy to regenerate cells by penetrating the skin to reach the cell's energy centre: the mitochondria. This triggers a biochemical reaction that reduces oxidative stress in the cell, the cause of cell ageing, loss of elasticity and skin inflammation, accelerating cell regeneration, slowing skin ageing and helping skin regain suppleness and firmness.

Understanding LED colours

Each LED mask can diffuse different LED colours and wavelengths that will penetrate more or less deeply into the skin and thus affect the epidermis, dermis or hypodermis.

Blue light stops at the epidermis and has a purifying action (notably by destroying the bacteria responsible for imperfections).
Red light has anti-ageing properties and penetrates the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Infrared light penetrates the circulation level for an anti-inflammatory and regenerating action.

How to use your LED Mask correctly?

While this beauty ritual can transform our skin and routine, we can reassure you that you don't need to spend one-on-one time with your LED mask daily to see results. Recommendations for use vary depending on the LED mask and the desired effects, but it is generally recommended to carry out 2 to 4 sessions of 10 to 15 minutes per week.

Use & charging time

Nooance Elite X600 LED Mask: 10-minute session. For best results, we recommend using the mask 30 minutes a week for radiance and wrinkles and 20 minutes twice a week to target imperfections. Charging time is 4 hours for 4 hours of use.

My Blend MyLEDMask V2:

5-14 minute session (dependent on skin phototype), 3-4 times a week (spaced 24 hours apart) over 6-8 weeks. Allow a 1-month break between each cycle. Charging time is 1 hour, lasting up to 10 sessions depending on your phototype.
