1. Place a couple of drops of a skincare oil into the palms of your hands and rub together to warm the product before applying to the face and neck.

The gua sha takes its inspiration from traditional chinese medicine. It works on the muscular fascia (the fibro-elastic membrane which covers the muscles and which is rich in collagen fibre) to lift and the lymph system to detoxify. It is different to a roller, working on the layers beneath the skin. Its angles, varying thicknesses and rounded edges mean that it can hug the contours of the face. When used under the eyes it can help to reduce bags and dark circles. Choose the stone of your gua sha according to your aspirations! In lithotherapy, green aventurine helps to be positive and to release anxiety, rose quartz symbolises love and emotional harmony, and blue sodalite boosts self-confidence and courage.
