Tell us about yourself

“I’ve never sunbathed in my life. Well, let’s say I was never allowed to. All my friends would slather themselves in whatever and tan in total peace, while my Aunt Joëlle was lecturing me about UV rays. I desperately wanted to bake in the sun like everyone else. I was so pale… But I listened to her. It was only much later that I realised she was right. She had me test all the products that labs would send her; I followed her to dermatology conferences, and I read all the scientific literature – I still do! She’s the one who taught me this: science first, promises second.”

How have your origins shaped your relationship with beauty?

“I’ve never sunbathed in my life. Well, let’s say I was never allowed to. All my friends would slather themselves in whatever and tan in total peace, while my Aunt Joëlle was lecturing me about UV rays. I desperately wanted to bake in the sun like everyone else. I was so pale… But I listened to her. It was only much later that I realised she was right. She had me test all the products that labs would send her; I followed her to dermatology conferences, and I read all the scientific literature – I still do! She’s the one who taught me this: science first, promises second.”

How do you take care of your skin?

“I hydrate and protect it a lot. Those are my fundamentals. And I’ll admit, I test a lot of formulas and pure ingredients. My bathroom is an extension of my lab. I’m two steps away from replacing bathrobes with white coats. There’s still some resistance from my husband, but I’ll get there eventually…

In the evening, I cleanse with Skin Cloud and exfoliate two to three times a week. I’m currently testing anti-dark-spot treatments – most recently Thiamidol. I finish with Skin Restore+ – our richest cream (launched in January 2026), designed for dry, mature and sensitive skin. My skin ticks all those boxes.

In the morning, I use Skin Revive for its antioxidant and radiance-boosting power – it’s pretty incredible. Its texture is very fine, so I layer it with one or two creams depending on the season. My skin is extremely dry, so I go all in when it comes to nourishment. I use our CTRL EYE cream, which I also apply around the mouth. Then SPF – a non-negotiable!

I also love Oh My Cream’s selection: Bioeffect’s EGF Serum, Oh My Cream Skincare’s Foundation (that I love mixing with Skin Restore for an even more natural finish), Violette_FR’s Bisou Balm in shade Mon Chéri, and so many other things...

I also do LED sessions with my dermatologist. And I don’t use Retinol. You can achieve similar effects using other active ingredients, without making your skin photosensitive. But everyone is free to choose.”

Did you always know you would create a biotech brand?

“I dreamed of it, yes. But did I know it would actually happen? No. I make creams. I just try to make them well, using what science actually teaches us about the skin. Sometimes I still can’t quite believe the brand exists – that people buy our products, that we’re stocked at Oh My Cream in France and in the UK, all the way to Mecca in Australia. There are days when I think, ‘Wait… is this really happening?’”

What was the starting point?

“After years in major cosmetic houses, I needed to truly understand the skin and formulate specifically for it. When COVID hit, I went back to university to study chemistry, with that goal in mind. Everyone has their obsessions. I wanted to crack the skin’s code, to understand how it really functions, so that I could create biotech formulas – highly concentrated in active ingredients – that genuinely work. I love learning and getting to the root of things, especially when it’s something I’m passionate about. I’m borderline obsessive. Going back to school at my age, surrounded by 20-year-olds and younger (ouch!) was quite something. But I don’t regret a single second of it.”

How would you define Mimétique’s DNA?

Mimétique is all about biomimicry applied to the skin. We imitate it so that it can operate at its full potential. Then, we rely on biotech, clinical data and total transparency about what goes into our tubes. Science first, then education… Each product is ultra-concentrated and multifunctional. We reduce the steps and amplify the results. No packaging that costs more than the formula. No ‘star’ ingredient just because it’s trendy. If an active ingredient serves no purpose, it’s not included. And then there’s our community of Skinnerds. We chat with them constantly, we listen to them, and we evolve together. Mimétique wouldn’t be the same brand without that.”

Has your vision of beauty evolved since creating Mimétique?

“Honestly, it hasn’t changed. It’s just been consolidated. I believe in a beauty that’s grounded in science. I still look at every innovation, I still read studies at unreasonable hours, I still want to offer the very best to our clients. What has changed is that as Mimétique grows, I have greater means to go further. We invest in research with the Chaire de Cosmétologie. When I started, I could never have imagined that it would be possible.”

Tell us more about skin mimicry – what fascinates you about this concept?

“What fascinated me most was how obvious it was. The answer was right there, under our eyes, in the very structure of the skin. Skin-mimetism (skin mimicry) is exactly that: choosing ingredients already found in the skin, that it can recognise and absorb. These ingredients boost the skin’s key biological mechanisms. The goal is to imitate the skin so it can function at its full potential. Why impose things on it that it doesn’t recognise, when we can give it precisely what it needs? Once I understood that, I couldn’t think about anything else. I was reading studies at 2 in the morning. In 2020, even the Netflix series Tiger King (and its mullet-wearing big cat breeder) didn’t stand a chance.”

What do you look for first and foremost in the skincare you use?

“Efficacy, tolerance and innovation. In exactly that order. A product that works, that doesn’t make my skin react, and that teaches me something. If I test an ingredient and there’s no clinical data behind it, I’m not interested. I want to understand why it works – not just see that it works. An occupational hazard…”

And if you could only keep one Mimétique product…

Skin Restore+, our latest launch. It’s the richest cream we’ve ever formulated, exclusively designed for dry, mature and sensitive skin. But honestly, just one? That’s a tough question. If you’d asked for two, then I’d have added our CTRL EYE cream.”

Beyond cosmetic products, what are your wellness rituals?

“Sport. I discovered spinning in Canada in 2015, and it became an obsession. After that, I got into Barre, Lagree, Pilates, and strength training. I’m completely hooked! The issue is time – split between the brand, launches, travel and family life… I’d love to do more. But anyway, when I can do it, I don’t need persuading. And otherwise, I eat tonnes of chocolate – if that counts as a wellness ritual?”

What’s the best beauty advice you’ve ever been given?

“Consistency. The right products, every day, and you’ll see results – trust me. Skin isn’t an ‘it’ thing. Just because a product is all the range or is splashed all over Instagram doesn’t mean it will work for you. Your skin doesn’t care about trends. It just wants to be understood.”

What’s on the horizon for Mimétique?

“So many things. My incredible team and I are working on several new launches – all requested by our community. They’re the ones that guide us; we don’t develop anything in isolation. And in 2026, a new complex is coming. I wake up every morning excited to read everyone’s comments and feedback. I’m so lucky to live this adventure, and I never take any of it for granted.”
